In their first collaboration, DanceNYC and the American Music Center (AMC) present an in-depth panel "Commissioning Music for Dance," which will explore successful strategies for developing and sustaining collaborative partnerships between choreographers and composers. Moderator Frank J. Oteri, AMC’s Composer Advocate and Founding Editor of NewMusicBox.org, will be joined by guest composers and choreographers who will share their experiences of bringing together music and dance in the creation of new work.
